WHERE DOES OUR NEGATIVE SALES MINDSET COME FROM?

Ever wondered why we think negatively when it comes to Sales?

Here at Your Sales Co we are huge fans of Authentic Sales, Leading with Service and Selling through Story Telling; but with the wrong mindset this all feels way to hard.

This negative Mindset comes from a previous negative Sales experience you had, witnessed or been told about.

We are often told that sales people aren't to be trusted, they just need to hit a target or will do whatever it takes to get a sale however this just isn't how authentic business owners sell.

You sell with the view to keeping that customer, to use clients experiences to generate more sales through referral and word of mouth.

If you were to sell based on the pushy and salesy approach that wouldn't sustain return clients and you aren't leading with service which is what feels so great about selling your product or service.

Are you ready to change your mindset?

I want you to think about a positive sales experience. Think about the conversations you had, how they made you feel and why you bought from them.

“I am pretty sure this will feel authentic, you felt seen, you felt heard and you bought from them because you trusted they had your best interests at heart”

Now let's put this style of selling back in to your business, think about how you understand your clients needs, feel their pain and want to help them through that.


Think about the outcome you know you can achieve for them, as this is often why we set up our business (to help people).

How does that feel?

Does it still feel salesy or icky? Or are you feeling awesome about helping some new and existing clients in discovering how your product or service is right for them?

Now repeat after me:

I am passionate about helping my clients. I solve their problems by [insert how you solve their problems] and they experience outcomes like [insert outcomes experienced] which makes me feel [insert how you feel].

Recall this blog post every time sales starts to feel a bit icky, you are worried about sounding salesy and let your business shine bright and help those that really need it.
