STOP TRYING - JUST DO IT!
Do you ever catch yourself saying, "I'm going to try and make 10 calls tomorrow"? We often find ourselves using the word "try" as a safe escape from commitment. But let's take a moment to reflect on the things we 'just do' every day - getting up, cleaning our teeth, walking the dog, going to work, eating.
These routine activities have become ingrained as habits because we understand the consequences if we neglect them. However, inaction can also lead to pain when it comes to our goals and ambitions.
Now, let's pivot and apply this principle to our sales activities.
Instead of setting an overwhelming goal like "I'll try to make 10 calls in the morning," shift your mindset. Commit to a tangible, achievable action: "I will make 2 calls in the morning." Small steps, big impact. By breaking down the task, you create a manageable pathway to success.
Consider the time-blocking strategy. Instead of declaring, "I've blocked out the whole morning to do outbound," opt for a more focused commitment – "I will dedicate 20 minutes to outbound." Suddenly, the task seems less daunting, more achievable. It's about setting realistic expectations and setting yourself up for success.
